Elaf Selim - Safe Enough to Rest

Oil & Mixed Media on Gallery Canvas

Safe Enough to Rest' is a portrait of quiet trust. She reclines gently, eyes closed, breathing... Her body softens with the sense that she can rest and everything will be ok.

Surrounding her, colour gathers in muted florals and dusk-like tones, soft blues, violets, and warm blushes layered with loose, expressive marks. Butterflies drift nearby, attracted to her calm presence.

This painting is about feeling safe, realizing that you can pause, breathe deep and feel that everything is well. It is meant to live as a quiet companion in your space, offering you a moment of peace and the permission to fully let go and rest.
