Collection: Sumera Khan

Sumera Khan is a visual artist, arts educator, and community builder based in Katarokwi/Kingston. Working primarily in oils, her work explores storytelling, memory, and identity through themes of caregiving and domestic space. As a BIPOC artist and caregiver, she is committed to accessibility, inclusion, and meaningful connection through the arts.

She serves as a Director on the Board of Union Gallery, is a Creativity Studio Space artist at the Tett Centre, founder of the Urban Sketchers Hub in Kingston, and a former Twofold Resident with Union Gallery and Modern Fuel. Khan has exhibited widely, received multiple Ontario Arts Council grants, and continues to engage deeply with the local arts community through her curatorial and jury work.
