Collection: Ruth Linda Morton
Ruth Linda Morton holds an honours computer science degree with a minor in fine art from the University of Guelph and worked in the technology industry for 30 years. She’s equally comfortable using a keyboard or a paint brush and feels that her logical, process happy side and her creative, chaos loving side inform each other, no matter what she’s doing.
Ruth works mainly on wood with acrylic paint to create complex but playful images. She enjoys creating vibrant, visually appealing art with unexpected colours and marks peeking through the layers.
Her inspiration comes from the Ontario landscape and her garden. Personal experiences, such as time spent hiking and gardening, inform her work. Through her art, she looks to create a sense of harmony amid chaos.
