Collection: Monika Rosen

Monika Rosen is a Kingston-based figurative and landscape painter with a Master of Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queen’s University. Fascinated by the relationship between the psyche and the landscape, she works primarily in oil painting to explore notions of interconnection and healing, with light and water as dominant aspects in her work. 

Monika has participated in formative art residencies, including an art internship residency on Fogo Island, Newfoundland. She has exhibited in international group shows and solo shows within Canada, landing her work in the collections of 21C Museum Hotels (US) and The Daniels Corporation in Toronto. When she is not covered in paint in her Kingston studio, Monika is illustrating for the medical industry and children’s books, teaching, and sailing the waters of Lake Ontario!
